REminder: Friday Park Day

We will meet this Friday at Salmon Brook Park in Granby at 10 am(or so), come when you can!!

Salmon Brook Park is on rte 10 & 202 in Granby; take rte 20 to the center of town and take a left on rt. 10 & 202.  Go about 1/2 mile down the road. Park is on the right. We will meet at Pavilion #4 which is just past the playscape. The stream is behind the pavilion.  Bring water shoes, bathing suits, nets, etc. That is the place most likely where we will be! Bring your lunch too, if you want.

Free Teachers @ CT Science Ctr

I heard from the CT Science Center staff and was told they'd appreciate it if homeschoolers spread the word that teachers get FREE admission for the summer at the center, so pass this offer along to your friends.

You can print out a coupon here http://www.ctsciencecenter.org/educate/default.aspx and just show your CT C.H.E.E.R. membership card or other homeschool membership card that you might have, at the admission counter to get your wrist band.

More Theatreworks tickets

 I am organizing the group purchase of the Theatreworks tickets at The University of Hartford's Lincoln Theater for the next school year. If the tickets are purchased in advance they are $6.50 each. I believe tickets can be purchased closer to the performance for $10.00, but the shows are very full and available seats may be an issue. I took my son to two of the shows last year and they were fabulous! The shows seem to be under 90 minutes each - not too long and very engaging. The Lincoln Theater is very comfortable and the Homeschool group gets a section of seats together. There is plenty of close parking right at the Theater on the U of H campus located in West Hartford. I just learned the tickets need to be purchased by June 30th, so time is running out! If you are interested, please let me know ASAP and I will get you my address for payment. We need 15 families to get the group rate and you can choose one or all of the shows to attend. Theatreworks Plays for 2012

I am trying to organize a group to buy tickets to 3 of the plays offered by Theatreworks for the 2011-2012 school year. These plays are performed at the University of Hartford’s Lincoln Theater. Each play is 1 hour long and starts at 10 am. Each play is $6.50 per person (reg. $10). Here is the schedule:

Jan 18 – Ramona Quimby (Grades 1-5)

Apr 11 – Henry and Mudge

May 31 — Skippyjon Jones (Grades K-4)

Please email Lisa at lisadupuis@sbcglobal.net  with the number of tickets that you want for each play. Also include your name and phone number.

I need 15 people to get the group rate. Once I get the emails, I will send the address for payment.
PAYMENT IS NEEDED BY JUNE 23rd.
