Proposal for used curriculum fair
Passing this along from Kris McCue. Please email her at fvhegroupis@hotmail.com if you are interested in selling or attending the curriculum fair.
Hi All,
I would like to get a used curriculum fair on the calendar. Based on feedback from the participants in the past 2 years, and the survey that was sent out a few months ago, I am looking at changing to a larger location.
Here is what I propose:
We could hold our used curriculum fair on Friday, May 27th from 3:00-7:00 p.m. at the Scout Hall Youth Center at 28 Abbe Road, East Windsor, Connecticut. Their website: http://www.scouthall.com/. I had the hall pencil us in for that date pending my asking for response from you the vendors and shoppers. I realize that is the Friday of the Memorial Day weekend, so am not sure if that will present a problem. I will not risk reserving the hall if we won't get enough participation. Oh, the fee would be the same as at the former location, $5 per 6 foot table. If you go on the website mentioned above, you will see that the hall is much larger and has tons more tables. It is also conveniently located off I-91.
Please email me if you would be interested in selling at or attending the used curriculum fair on Friday, May 27th in East Windsor. I need to hear from enough people in the next week so I can get back to the secretary who books the hall and confirm or cancel. When I have determined if it is a safe bet to hold the fair at this date and location I will send out a formal announcement and take sign ups for tables.
I forgot to mention that the hall is also available on Friday, May 13. But my initial thought had been to do the fair as late in the school year as possible so people would be able to sell materials they were done with. If no one wants the fair on the 27th but would definitely come on the 13th then I'd change the date, as long as the hall was still available. This is why I am asking to hear back from you all now, so far in advance, so I have the best chance of the hall being available to us.
Thanks!
