True WW II stories from local Veterans
Event: True WW II stories from local Veterans
Why: In time for Memorial Day remembrance, supplement History curriculum
When: Monday, May 14th at 10:30 am

Members of the Army Air Force Roundtable will be giving a presentation and taking questions from all interested. They come with stories of flying bombing missions over Iwo Jima, to liberating France. These former pilots will speak about flying the B-26, and B-24 planes. If we are lucky enough, a veteran age 92 years old will come and tell his story! One of these heroes is being honored in May at West Point for his help with the liberation of France from the Germans. These men will speak for 45 minutes to an hour max. They request and hope for questions.
Please email Nancyat nfalletti@sbcglobal.net to reserve space. SPACE IS LIMITED to approx 25 people. There is plenty to do for younger siblings, with supervision of parent, in library if older kids in program. Recommended ages 9 and up, but you know your child. Adults with interest welcome too.
This is *free event, but a nice card or token of thanks for the gentlemen would be a nice gesture. They are traveling from Cheshire, and Meriden.
